Job Details

·        Prepare information regarding design, structure specifications, materials, color, equipment, estimated costs, and construction time. ·        Consult with client to determine functional and spatial requirements of structure. ·         Direct activities of workers engaged in preparing drawings and specification documents. ·         Plan layout of project. ·         Prepare contract documents for building contractors. ·         Prepare scale drawings. ·        Integrate engineering element into unified design. ·        Conduct periodic on-site observation of work during construction to monitor compliance with plans. ·         Administer construction contracts

Job Summary:

·         Meeting with the client and discussing the building’s purpose and budget. ·          visit the building site to get an idea of what the location looks like, considering factors like the locale’s climate and the appearance of surrounding buildings before the design. ·         Draw a preliminary design for the building, usually utilizing computer-aided design and drafting software to create the drawings.

OUALIFICATIONS 
•Bachelor of architecture degree, which requires five years of full-time study. Others may complete a master’s degree in architecture after earning a bachelor’s degree in another field.
CCNP certification will be an added advantage.
Minimum of 3 yrs. experience as a SITE Architects /Engineer
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• High levels of creativity, imagination and vision.
• A keen interest in the built environment and the dedication to see projects to their conclusion.
• Willingness to work long hours, under time and budget pressure.
• Excellent design and drafting skills and proficiency with computer-aided design (CAD).
• Strong mathematical skills.
• A keen eye for the detail of specific tasks, combined with an understanding of how such specifics fit in with the project as a whole.
• Organisational, project management and planning skills, including the ability to juggle multiple tasks.
• An analytical mind with excellent problem-solving ability.
• Leadership skills as well as the ability to work well within a team of other professionals.
